The Stooges is my favourite punk-rock album. I really like all the songs on it: from No Fun to We Will Fall. The sound is raw, rough and Iggy demonstrates how two or three chords are enough to make a great album. John Cale is the producer and it makes all the difference: the arrangements are minimal and repetitive; and the guitar sound is just at top front hitting your face as with the Velvets.
