Two chords, a viola drone, amazing guitar feedbacks, slow vs. fast train rhythms, noise. This is Heroin. First time I’ve listened to it was in the Oliver Stone’s movie about The Doors in a scene expressively related to drug trips. Who’s this band? What the hell? Lou Reed? John Cale?
The Velvet Underground & Nico, for everything that it represents in style, is probably my top album of all time.
